You are NOT law enforcement, police, cop, or medical personnel!!! Any impersonation as such will result in immediate termination from the team and Metro Response will not try to impede or defend in any local law proceedings against such offenders. |

This is a volunteer position. Metro Response is often described as a Good Samaritan service and is strictly not for profit or charge of any kind. It is up to the individual Metro Response Unit whether or not to accept gratuity if offered for services such as roadside assistance. |

All activities and photos taken in relation to Metro Response activities must be turned in after any event. You are permitted to possess copies as well. |

Your job duties
will require one or all of the following: |

You must provide
your own gear. We strongly recommend that at minimum you obtain an
inexpensive
reflective vest,
collapsible road cones,
and vehicle repair items (car jack, tire pump, water, and the know-how to
change a tire). Also a first aid kit is highly recommended and a fire
extinguisher for vehicles is a good idea to. We highly recommend a light for
your vehicle whether it be a
small beacon light which can be picked up at an auto supply store for
$20 (about £13) or if you decide to go all out with a
light-bar. Though the decals on Unit #408 < |

We will provide
you with a magnetic decal OR window cling decal for your vehicle which must
be displayed when performing any Metro Response duties. |

You must dress and act professional. As with security officers and non law enforcement personnel, this position can be mistaken for police or local authorities and therefore must be taken very seriously and those participating in it must be respectable looking, and have a professional attitude. High levels of emotion and inability to 'keep one's head' in stressful or emergency situations is not acceptable. You must not play 'wannabee cop' and must ALWAYS yield to law enforcement when they arrive or take charge of a situation. |

Our motto as Metro Response is 'To Serve and Proclaim'. This means we are to serve others in need as 'Good Samaritans' or First Responders to accidents, severe weather, or other emergencies. This also means we are to proclaim. We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those we come in contact with. We have no set standard of how to do this. Whether to engage in conversation while changing a tire or to just give a card with the website as we leave the scene, it is up to the individual Metro Response Unit. All we require is that we are good examples and witnesses for Christ in all we do on the Metro Response Team. |
